The heart of my vocation is to support people in deepening their connection with the God of their understanding. I know and trust that God is Absolute Love—so absolute, there is no opposite. I am shaped by the 12 steps, Centering Prayer meditation, singing and art, and A Course in Miracles. Each spiritual direction session begins with the directee choosing the length of time (5-20 minutes) we sit together in Centering Prayer. I offer a complementary 15-minute session to explore our connection together. Sessions either in-person at Edgcumbe Presbyterian in St. Paul, or on Zoom.

I listen to individuals with empathy as they seek God in their daily living. They experience God more lovingly and personally. They experience more inner freedom allowing them to come to know God's unconditional love more fully.

Spiritual direction is a sacred pause in the busyness of daily life to listen for the movement of God’s Spirit within. I feel privileged to accompany people as they seek to deepen their connection with God, to clarify what is most important to them, and to live out of this awareness. As a retired mental health professional, I also bring knowledge of human development and experience working at the interface of trauma and spirituality. Meetings can take place either in person or via Zoom.

I love to provide a sacred and safe place for people to be exactly where they are, in the presence of God who loves them exactly as they are. I can meet with you at the Benedictine Center in St. Paul, in Eden Prairie, or remotely.

My work is bi-vocational—both hands and heart. The ancient desert tradition based on the experience of God’s presence energizes my spirituality. Process is key—it’s in conversation where we best discern God’s activity in our lives. I can meet in person at the Benedictine Center in St. Paul, or via Zoom. Aside from marrying my beloved spouse and being blessed with our two children, the best thing that has ever happened in my life is growing in my experience of God’s presence.
